Andrew Anderson is a Director and President of Cumberland Investment Counsel Inc. (“CIC”), Director of affiliate Cumberland Private Wealth Management Inc. (“CPWM”), and General Counsel of Cumberland Partners Limited (“CPL”), the firm’s parent company (collectively, “Cumberland Private Wealth”). Andrew is responsible for supervising the activities of the firm and the operations, overall compliance and corporate governance of CPL. Andrew draws upon his extensive experience advising investment fund managers, dealers and investment advisers. Prior to joining Cumberland Private Wealth, he was with Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in the securities and capital markets group, then Franklin Templeton Investments Corp., and most recently with the Royal Bank of Canada as Senior Corporate Counsel and a member of the RBC Canadian Wealth Management Legal Team. He is a CFA charterholder and graduate of the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall.
