Susanne Alexandor joined Cumberland Investment Counsel Inc. as a Portfolio Manager in 2021 and has been a Portfolio Manager with affiliate Cumberland Private Wealth Management Inc. since 2019 (collectively Cumberland Private Wealth). Drawing on her 30 years of experience as an investment and wealth management professional, she provides discretionary investment portfolios to both high net worth and institutional investors focused on achieving their financial goals and investment objectives.

Ms. Alexandor’s experience has spanned the full spectrum of global capital markets and asset classes in varying regimes and roles. She has held positions with leading firms in major financial centers including Deutsche Bank (DWS, Morgan Grenfell/Deutsche Asset Management in New York, London, Luxembourg), UBS Wealth Management, and Citi Private Bank (Toronto). Prior to joining Cumberland Private Wealth, she spent seven years as a Vice President, and senior investment team member of a macro-focused boutique firm, providing downside risk managed, global tactical asset allocation strategies to the firm’s private and retail clients. She has also been a regular media commentator and industry panelist, enjoying communicating on the many facets and complexities of the asset management world.

Ms. Alexandor is originally from Germany, but was raised and began her career in the U.S. She earned a BA in Economics and German from Rutgers University. While living and working in Toronto over the past two decades, she has been actively engaged in community and philanthropic initiatives.
