Alexandra von Schroeter is a seasoned executive and a Portfolio Manager at Cumberland Investment Counsel Inc. and Cumberland Private Wealth Management Inc., (together “Cumberland Private Wealth”) where she has played a leading role in the firm’s evolution to being one of Canada’s prominent independent wealth management firms. With over 35 years of experience in wealth management, banking, and financial markets, she combines strategic leadership with hands-on sophisticated wealth planning and portfolio management for senior executives, entrepreneurs, families, and foundations.

Before joining Cumberland Private Wealth in 1999, Ms. von Schroeter built her career at CIBC World Markets, Wood Gundy, and the Bank of Montreal, in senior roles in investment banking and the capital markets in Toronto, London, and New York.

Beyond her corporate leadership, Ms. von Schroeter is deeply engaged in various communities, serving on Sunnybrook Foundation Board, as Chair of Canadian INSEAD Foundation, and Co-Chair of Art Gallery of Ontario’s Curators’ Circle. For over two decades, she was a trustee of INSEAD’s Global Alumni Fund and recent Global Campaign board. As member of International Women’s Forum, a former activator of SheEO (now Coralus), among other impactful initiatives, she continues to support women in business, leadership and entrepreneurship.

Ms. von Schroeter holds an MBA and International Director’s certification from INSEAD, a CFA® designation, and a B.Comm. from Queen’s University, along with a Diplôme de Littérature Française from Université de Paris-Sorbonne. She is a shareholder of Harbourfront Wealth Holdings Inc, parent company of Harbourfront Wealth Group and Cumberland Private Wealth.
